For any who are wondering, I do not do any digital manipulation to my photography. How it comes out is how it comes out, and that's the way I leave it. The only digital retouching I do is in Gimp when I first scan the print, just to make what's on the computer look like the physical print. I don't have a very good scanner, so I simply adjust the color levels to normal, clean up any dust/scratches, and maybe hit it with a mild unsharp mask if needed. I've recently started using Clark Color Labs online (www.clarkcolor.com) for all of my film development, which is a mail order service. They provide digital negative scanning for only $1.00 a roll, so I don't have to scan prints anymore. Yay! So from now on, most everything will be untouched right from Clark.
